Science Zone Team Visits ASTC

In September of 2022 the leadership team of the Science Zone staff were able to attend the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC)'s annual conference in Pittsburgh, PA. 

The team enjoyed the opportunity to connect with industry professionals from across the museum industry, from some of the largest science centers in the world, to those serving rural communities without physical space. Learning from industry experts from combined dozens of sessions ranging in topics from exhibit design to leadership. 

Having the opportunity to explore the museums of Pittsburgh, and bring back new ideas for exhibits and visitor experiences was one of the highlights for certain. Along with getting a behind-the-scenes tour of the soon-to-be-open Moonshot Museum whose museum is located in the same facility that develops actual spacecraft for upcoming missions to the moon. 

The staff came away with inspiration, and ideas to help drive their work as we continue to serve the community of Casper, and our state.
