Our Story
A Note from Tucker & Bunsen
My name is Tucker, an African Sulcata Tortoise and animal ambassador at The Science Zone. You’ve likely seen me peering over my wall, munching on bell peppers while my roommate and best friend, Bunsen Bunner (a Broken Color Mini Rex rabbit), zips around our exhibit.
WyoGives is a big day for Wyoming, and Bunsen and I have been talking about our goals. You know the old story about the tortoise and the hare? Well, we do things differently here. For us, it’s not about who is fastest — it’s about arriving at the finish line together. The Science Zone is growing at an incredible pace. With new classrooms and record-breaking crowds of budding biologists and future engineers, the momentum is undeniable. But to make sure every child in Wyoming has a seat at the lab bench, we need our community to move with us.

4 Ways to Help The Science Zone on WyoGives Day
1. Come into the Museum
We'll be running a discounted admission rate of $5 for the whole day! WyoGives will be matching up to $7,000 of donations, and your admission will help. 💚
2. Feed Tucker the Tortoise
If you choose to pay the normal admission price ($7.50) instead, not only will you get into the museum, but you’ll also get lettuce to feed best friends Tucker the African Tortoise and Bunsen the Bunny. 🐢
3. Enter to win Our WyoGives Gift Basket
On the 15th, take a picture with Tucker and post it on social media mentioning The Science Zone. You will be entered to win our STEM gift basket with over $150 in prizes, including a membership to the museum! 🎁
