Code JR

Introduce your young ones to the excitement of coding with Code JR, designed for reading levels ranging from non-reader to beginner! This class provides a fun and engaging way to learn foundational coding skills through a variety of age-appropriate activities. Non to emerging readers can use Scratch JR. to begin creating algorithms with visual block coding. Beginning readers can dive into Scratch, where they build simple games with block text coding. All levels will also be able to learn and play with robotics! Code JR uses Ozobot, a robot that is programmed using color patterns. Students can also program Blockly, which is drag-and-drop text coding that builds their math and spatial skills. At Code JR, kids will experience the thrill of coding in a supportive and playful environment.

Jr. Coders will have the opportunity to participate in a one-hour class on Thursdays either at 4:00 pm or 5:00 pm.
