About SmART Investigations

The Science Zone teams up with the Nicolaysen Art Museum and Discovery Center to bring you SmART Investigations, a STEAM-based homeschool class for K-5 students.

Join us on the second Friday of every month from 1 to 3:30PM at the Nicolaysen Art Museum.

Students will investigate the intersections of art and science as they cultivate observational skills and learn techniques important to each discipline. We will explore new topics each month through hands-on experiences that are sure to excite and engage.

Fee Schedule

Members: $25 per student per class

Non-Members: $35 per student per class

Due to Covid-19, masks will be required for these classes, and best practices in social distancing will be observed where possible.

This program is a partnership between The Nicolaysen Art Museum and The Science Zone. Please note, weekly topics may vary depending on student interest and ability. We will spend more time on topics the students find interesting in order to tap into their curiosity, while still covering a very wide range of topics over the year.
