Casper, Wyoming – The Science Zone, Casper's premier science center, is thrilled to announce the launch of its newest field trip offering, "Casper Critters," inviting students to embark on an exciting exploration of the natural world in our town's most captivating outdoor locations.

Led by our dedicated team member and outdoor enthusiast, Alex Walters, the Casper Critters field trip promises an immersive educational experience unlike any other. Designed to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation for the ecosystems that surround us, participants will have the opportunity to discover the rich biodiversity of plants, arthropods, birds, and other wildlife that call our local parks and natural areas home.

"We are excited to introduce our first off-site field trip offering, which has been carefully crafted to provide students with a unique place-based education opportunity," said Steven Schnell, Executive Director at The Science Zone. "By venturing into the great outdoors, we aim to inspire curiosity and instill a sense of stewardship for the natural world among our young learners."

During the Casper Critters field trip, students will engage in a variety of hands-on activities, including food-web tag, observation bingo, and collection curation, all while surrounded by the beauty of nature. Locations for these unforgettable adventures include Rim Rock, Rotary Park, Reshaw Park, and Edness Kimball Wilkins State Park, with maps provided for easy navigation.

"Our hope is that by introducing students to these remarkable local parks and natural areas, they will be inspired to explore further with their families and continue their journey of discovery outside of the classroom," added Schnell.
