Nuclear Energy Partnership with Radiant Industries

Casper, WY — April 7, 2025 — The Science Zone is thrilled to announce a free Family STEAM Night on Thursday, May 8 from 4–6 p.m., presented in partnership with Radiant. Families are invited to an exciting evening of hands-on science and discovery at 222 E. Collins Dr., Casper, WY—complete with engaging activities, learning opportunities, and free food for all guests.

This special STEAM Night is all about exploring nuclear energy—what it is, how it works, and what it could mean for the future of Wyoming. Through fun, interactive experiences, guests will:

• Dive into the structure of atoms
• Explore how nuclear reactions generate energy
• Learn about radiation and safety
• Discover the many ways nuclear science impacts our everyday lives

In addition, attendees will have a unique opportunity to learn about Radiant’s proposed reactor manufacturing facility just north of Casper. Representatives from Radiant will be on hand to answer questions, explain the science behind their innovative technology, and talk about how it could impact our community.

“This event is a chance for families to explore science together, ask questions, and connect directly with experts,” said Steven Schnell, Executive Director of The Science Zone. “We’re excited to partner with Radiant to spark curiosity and conversation around the future of energy right here in Wyoming.”
