With The Science Zone AmeriCorps program, you'll have a chance to build your resume, serve young people, be a part of building a stronger community, earn a stipend, earn an educational award, and possibly put a college loan into forbearance while serving.
AmeriCorps is a nationally recognized service organization and becoming a member provides many lifelong benefits. Although AmeriCorps does not offer salaried positions, members receive many benefits which include a living allowance, training, experience, and education awards. The Science Zone is proud to be an AmeriCorps grantee supported by ServeWyoming.
The Science Zone is currently recruiting for several positions to serve in our education program. Hours, schedules, and commitments are flexible. We can work with you to create a schedule that fits your needs. We are particularly seeking members that are available on Thursday evenings (4:00 - 7:00) that can help with our free Family STEAM nights and/or Saturdays but we have many other options as well.

AmeriCorps State and National Service Opportunities
AmeriCorps State and National Members will impact the lives of children by providing STEM-related direct education and educational support services at the Science Zone or at our partner host sites.

Choose your length of service: The Science Zone AmeriCorps program can provide service opportunities to fit your schedule and your level of time commitment. We have year-long, semester-long, and summer positions available. You can choose whether you want to make a small commitment or a significant commitment.
All positions include a living stipend
Stipends are determined by the length and hours of the commitment.
All positions include access to a Segal Education Award
Education awards are granted at the end of a successful term of service. The value of the education award is dependent on the hours served.
